Curious Creatures Exotic Animals Return to Deering Public Library 2010
At The Deering Town Hall Route 149, Deering, NH
February school vacation week

Wednesday, February 24, 2010
1:00pm to 2:00pm.

This is a FREE live educational animal show using a
hands-on interactive presentation.
The handlers teach respect and appreciation for
exotic and unusual animals.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Deering Public Library book club will be discussing “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein on Thursday October 2, 2008 at 7PM in the Town Hall Library/Conference Room. Narrated by the family dog, this is a heart-wrenching but deeply funny and uplifting story of a family, love, loyalty, and hope. Books may be picked up at Deering Public Library or Fuller Public Library in Hillsboro. Deering Public Library hours in the Town Hall are Tuesdays 10:00am to noon, Wednesdays 10:00am to 12:30pm, Thursdays 3:00pm to 7:00 pm, Saturdays 10:00am – noon. Free Children's Concert Saturday August 9th 10:30

A free summer concert will be offered for area children on Saturday, August 9th at 10:30. Deering Public Library is excited to have Amy Conley live, featuring interactive entertainment, songs, dances and puppets. The show will be on the town green in Deering Center during the Guild Fair. Plant Sale to Benefit Deering Public Library and The Hillsboro Food Pantry

On Saturday, May 31, 2008 there will be a plant sale to benefit Deering Public Library and the Hillsboro Food Pantry from 9-12 PM at the Deering Town Hall. If you have plants to donate to the sale please bring them to the town hall on Friday May 30, 2008 between 1 and 4 o'clock for pricing. Expendable Trust Fund

Thank you to the residents of Deering for passing the request for an expendable trust fund for the library. Money from the trust fund will grow from interest and donations and we will be looking into the option of expanding the library, paying regard to the community wishes from the results of a survey as put forth in the master plan 2004.
